The eControl System uses special high performance insulation materials vs the antiquated materials found on traditional models. The job of the insulation is to focus the heat on the areas the correct areas.
From a cooking perspective this relates to the hobs and the ovens – the new insulation materials minimize heat escape throughout the cooking process meaning the Aga will actually hold it’s temperature.
From the perspective of the Aga being a heating appliance it is the job of the insulation to focus the heat onto the radiant surfaces such as the top and front plate and not to lose them into the floor of sides of the appliance.
